Do you have a physical brick and mortar establishment?
We have a store located in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa: Sarah's Bridal Gallery. We have been in business for over 20 years. We have beautiful showroom totaling over 5,500 sq. ft. dedicated to prom and pageant. Here at Sarah's Bridal Gallery we offer a friendly and fun environment with a knowledgeable staff that will give you a one-on-one personal experience to help you find the perfect dress. We also have a shoe and jewelry department making Sarah's Bridal Gallery your one-stop-shop for all things prom and pageant!
Do I need an appointment?
No appointments are required for Prom, Homecoming, Vice Versa, Winter Formals, Military Ball or other social occasion events.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, Debit Cards, Check and Cash.
Do you have Layaway?
Yes we offer a free layaway program but you can only put items into layaway that are currently in stock at our store. We require a 50% down initial deposit and a payment every 30 days. Please see store for more details.
If I order the wrong size gown will you take it back or let me exchange it?
Our experienced staff will work with you to find the correct size we recommend. Ultimately, the decision on the size you want to order is completely up to you and your preference. Once a size has been chosen the gown is yours and all sales will be final. This final sales policy is consistent with the formal wear industry standards. See our Online Sales Policy for more details.
It is never too early to start shopping! By January, we will have all of our new lines coming in for the season. We always suggest to our customers to shop early to ensure that you get your most favorite dress!
Do you register gowns that are purchased for prom?
Yes, we do! We will register your dress style number and color to your specific school.
Do I have to pay sales tax if I am from out of state?
Only those items shipped or purchased inside the state of Iowa will be charged Iowa Sales Tax of 7%. All other shipments outside of Iowa will not be charged sales tax.
How long does it take to get my special order?
Sarah's Bridal Gallery will give you an estimated ship date when the order is placed. It typically will take 7-10 business days for your item to arrive to our store. We offer free ground shipping on orders over $350 anywhere in the US. Expedited shipping is available for an additional charge. *Please note that our shipping carriers may experience delays that may impact both ground and expedited shipping. Estimated delivery dates are not guaranteed. We thank you for your patience and understanding!
Do you rent or take prom gowns on consignment?
No, we do not rent or consign gowns. We do, however, have a great selection of gowns to purchase at our store or online!
What sizes do you carry?
We carry sizes 00-28 in store. We can, however, special order up to a size 30 from select designers.
What designers do you carry?
We carry a wide variety of designers such as Sherri Hill, ASHLEYlauren, Johnathan Kayne, Jovani, Amarra, and more. We also offer exclusive and one of a kind dresses in store that are not available for online purchase.
Do you have a lot of prom dresses in stock?
Yes! We always have over 1000 dresses in our store year round. We receive shipments of new prom dresses daily during the months of December, January, February, and March. We typically have around 1500 dresses in stock during peak prom season.
Are your dresses authentic?
Yes! All of our dresses are brand new, authentic designer dresses. We hand select every dress that comes into our store and work with only the top quality designers in the formalwear industry. You can rest assured when purchasing from Sarah's Bridal Gallery you will receive an authentic, high quality dress. You can always check each designers website to verify that a store is a authorized retailer. Be warned, as there are many "knock off" websites using designer or even stores social media images to sell imitation dresses. As an authorized retailer, we are required to sell our dresses at "MSRP" and if you find the dress online much less, you know for certain you will not be getting the product shown in the photo.
What price-range of prom dresses do you carry in stock?
Our regular price prom dresses will start around $300-$350 and go up from there, with the average in store being $400-$600. We do have dresses that start at $99 on our sale rack. We offer a free layaway program and will work with you to find something you love in a price range you are comfortable with.
Does Sarah's Bridal Gallery offer alterations?
Sarah's Bridal Gallery works closely with a handful of seamstresses and can recommend to our customers who purchased their dress from our store. The customer is responsible for the cost of any alterations that may be needed for the gown. We tell our customers to almost always expect to have some sort of alterations expense when purchasing a gown so you can get the best fit.
Do you have all the gowns pictured on your website in stock?
No, we have the entire collection shown from each designer pictured on our website. All items shown can be special ordered, please contact us for more information. We do have many gowns and cocktail dresses in stock from our designers and you can also search by "In Stock Only" and under item desciption, if you click on "Item Details" you can see which sizes/colors we have in stock in each style.
What does it mean if a dress is listed as quick delivery?
Quick delivery items are the most recent update of the designers inventory. Meaning, we can have this dress in hand for you in just a few days. Please contact us for more information.
